Undoubtedly one of the most special cars to become available in our inventory, this example is 1 of 1 in specification, and only 1 of 9 total G8 GXP Firehawks produced! Finished in 'Liquid Red' Exterior paint over an 'Onyx/Red' two-tone interior, this example with 34k miles sports every option available on a G8 GXP Firehawk, starting with the factory G8 options of a Power Sunroof and the 6-Speed Manual Transmission. However, when sent to SLP Performance Parts--the company ultimately making the Firehawk so special--this example received significant upgrade treatment. The SLP Supercharger, Stainless Steel Exhaust System, Blackwing Cold Air Induction System, Sport Suspension Package, Competition Brake Package, and SLP Flat Black Rear Spoiler were all installed. Beyond these, cosmetically, the car wears the Flat Black Painted Hood and Grille Surrounds, Body Color Lower Fascia Grille Inserts, and 19" 5-Spoke Gun Metal Painted Alloy Wheels with Machined Spoke Faces. Furthermore, the Firehawk-branded Badges, Leather (faux) Portfolio Interior, Birth Certificate, Dash Plaque, Floor Mats, Embroidered Headrests, and Car Cover were all optioned.
Additionally, this example has undergone some performance-enhancing modifications. American Racing Stainless Steel Headers were added to maximize outflow, while a tuned Magnuson Supercharger and an added Cog-drive Rear Pulley help produce more power. 65lb FIC Fuel Injectors and a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump were also added. Finally, a re-tune via a Mustang Dyno bumped power production up to a whopping 576whp, with over 550 lb-ft of torque.
The G8 GXP Firehawk contrasts itself from the G8 GXP in that the Firehawk boasts a supercharged engine along with a few other mechanical and cosmetic alterations. The Cold Air Induction and Custom PCM Tune help churn out the extra horsepower compared to the normal G8 GXP, and are further complemented by the Performance Suspension and Competition Brake Package helping to manage said power. Cosmetically, the exterior of the car wears a black stripe, as well as the more obviously-differentiating Firehawk badging and 19" Aluminum Wheels. On the inside, Firehawk logos are embroidered within the headrests, and are supplemented by a passenger-side dashboard Firehawk badge.
The 'GXP' variant of the G8, produced only for 2009, is considered the 'Performance' version of the model. Thus, the 'Firehawk' version of the G8 GXP is at the very pinnacle of the G8 lineup, slotting as the top performer.
